Huggins arrived at Marsh Fork Elementary just after noon to deploy from the helicopter before he joined Third District Congressman Nick Rahall. From there the two got into a vehicle and traveled a couple of miles down the road to where the mine site was located.

Monday’s horrific blast at Upper Big Branch Mine killed at least 25 miners, left two in the hospital with injuries, and four miners still waiting to be found. The explosion is the deadliest mining mine disaster in the United States since 1984, where 27 people lost their lives in a fire in a Utah mine.
