Mountaineers Face Tough Road Series
The West Virginia Mountaineers baseball team are headed to face off with the USF bulls in Florida as they will meet for a three game series starting on April 24. The first game is Friday, beginning at 7:00 pm.
West Virginia will look to come in to Tampa with an exceptionally well record of (28-9, 11-4), tied for second place in the big east with Louisville. West Virginia’s team is very talented this year compared to the past.
This series should be close but the Mountaineers should fall on top. Billy Gross will look to make his eighth start of this season as he will pitch for WVU this weekend in the three game series. Gross had an 3.04 ERA and 48 strikeouts last year.
The Bulls have won a few big games this year, including team such as Villinova and Pittsburgh. No doubt in my mind they will come out and fight, especially at their home field and I know how bad they need and want this series.
